Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Postgraduate programmes leading to the award of Postgraduate Diplomas, Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees of the Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi for the 2026/2027 academic session.
📝 Admission Requirements

O’Level Requirements: Applicants must in the first instance, meet the relevant O’Level requirement(s) for an award of a First Degree of Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University with a Credit in English and Mathematics for the Faculties of Sciences, Management, and Environmental Science.

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): Candidates for Postgraduate Diploma programmes must possess, in addition to O'Level requirements, an HND or a First Degree with a minimum of Third-Class from Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University or any University recognized by Senate.

Master's Programmes: Candidates for Master's programmes must possess a first relevant degree with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division (CGPA of 2.50) from Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University or any University recognized by Senate.

Doctorate Programmes (Ph.D.): Candidates for Ph.D. programmes must have a good Master's Degree with a CGPA of not less than 3.50 from Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University or any University recognized by Senate.
📘 General Regulations & Duration
All programmes begin with Course Work and end at Project for Postgraduate Diplomas, or Dissertation and Thesis for Master's and Ph.D. degrees respectively.

💻 Method of Application

Online Access: Applications are available only on the online platform. Applicants are to visit the portal at https://portal.bsum.edu.ng/login.jsp.

Initiate Application: Click on the application link. Under Postgraduate school, click "Start Application", enter your Name, select your programme of choice, and submit.

Payment Generation: An e-payment form will be generated with the Payment Reference Number as well as the Application Number.

Fee Payment: Applicants could either pay online or proceed to designated bank (Fidelity Bank) with the printed e-payment form to pay a non-refundable fee of N20,000.

Complete Form & Uploads: Re-visit the Portal under Application > Postgraduate to complete the form. Upload credentials and print a hard copy of the completed form.

Referees: Ensure online reference forms are completed by three (3) referees. Applications without relevant documents uploaded will not be considered.

Academic Transcripts: Request previous institutions to forward Academic Transcripts to: The Secretary, Postgraduate School, Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi.

Applicants should provide all information sought in the form. Applications with incomplete information shall be treated as void. Proposed course of study including area of specialization (if any) should be clearly stated. Applicants should ensure that their official transcripts of academic record are forwarded to the Postgraduate School by their former universities. Applications without official transcripts of academic record shall not be processed. A candidate can apply for admission to only one Degree/Diploma programme at any given time.
